In this CD Jaya has composed a few simple tunes about the higher energies, or Gods, that have been sung and spoken about since ancient times in India. She has sung their descriptive names in simple melodies. Underneath the fascinating myths and stories, is the symbolic representation of the play of energies within each of us. The wars between the Gods and Demons being symbolic of our own inner struggles to conquer our inner conflicts with our own awakened higher intelligence.

 

The CD has a descriptive introduction including a small story,  followed by a song, on:

 

Ganesha, Kartikeya, Krishna, Lalita Tripurasundari, and Shiva. It ends with the story of Mahishasuramardini and the sloka Ayigiri Nandini.

 

The narrative description is in English and the songs that follow are in Sanskrit.
